I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here.

Atmospheric, dreamy, melodic death, prog metal. 7 tracks that total approx. 55 minutes, with the longest clocking in at over 11 min. It's strange, different, and grew on me. The musicianship is outstanding.

Hard to pick one track from this album. The whole album is a treat but if I would have to choose one, gun to my head I would pick Sweltering Madness just because of the low tuned guitar riff.
